SA BME Dental provides maintenance, repair and consulting to all SA Health Dental Clinics.

Provide a timely and effective break down and repair service for dental equipment

• dental chairs
• curing lights, descalers, ultra sonic baths and laboratory equipment
• slow speed hand pieces & motors
• suction systems; both wet and dry
• compressor units

Ensure equipment is in a safe working condition by carrying out acceptance tests in accordance with relevant standards

• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and guidelines
• Ensure compliance with Dental Service policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with Dental Services safety and risk management system
• Report safety issues within the work unit

High level customer service

• Maintain up to date knowledge of dental equipment
• Ensure Quality service and workmanship
• Identify risks and assist in its resolution and management
• Stakeholder feedback
• Ensure accurate and timely communication and reporting of work schedules and expected turn around time to relevant stakeholders
